You’re in for a wild ride with Katherine DiSavino’s hilarious play, Nana’s Naughty Knickers! Set in a rent-controlled apartment in Manhattan, the occupant, Sylvia Charles (Linda Henson), runs a slightly illegal boutique from her apartment, selling handmade naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five-borough area, including her best friend Vera (Vive Allen) and her best customer, Clair (Kelley Petree-Goodwin). Sylvia has somehow managed to keep this business a well-guarded secret from her landlord, Mr. Schmidt (Preston Garrison) and even her granddaughter, Bridget (Calliope Johnson), who is about to become her new roommate before entering law school. However, what Bridget saw as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite nana in New York for the summer quickly turns into an experience she’ll never forget, including a possible new love interest, a policeman, Tom O’Grady (Jamie Taylor) who sure is hesitant to give her a parking ticket. When a competing businesswoman, Heather Van Pree (Andi E.), gets wind of the business, it’s a non-stop frenzy from there! Will Bridget be able to handle all the excitement? Will her nana get arrested – or worse – evicted?
With an ensemble cast of veterans, including Emily Akins-Sexton and Fred Lutz, Nana’s Naughty Knickers is sure to knock your socks off – but don’t worry, Nana can provide you with another pair!
