Children's Musical Theater Workshop: Annie

Performances in the Lyric: Saturday, Aug. 6 & 13 @ 7pm & Sunday, Aug. 7 & 14 @ 2pm

Auditions for the summer production of Annie will be held April 18 and 19 at 6:30 p.m., with callbacks Wednesday the 20th at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a summer acting workshop for all little girls who want to be a part of the production. The workshop will start the week of June 13. Production dates for the musical will be August 6 and 7, and August 13 and 14.

Auditions will consist of a short excerpt (30–45 seconds) of a song of your choice, as well as cold reads.

All adults and children auditioning for lead roles will be required to learn the following for callbacks (some of the songs are duets or have chorus parts; just learn the character’s solo):

Annie: “Tomorrow”
Molly: “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile”
Ms. Hannigan: “Little Girls”
Daddy Warbucks: “Something Was Missing”
Grace: “NYC”
Rooster and Lilly: “Easy Street”

Soundtracks of the Broadway version are now available for pick-up at the OAC office. If you are serious about wanting to be a part of this production please feel free to come by and pick one up.

PLEASE NOTE: The little girls who will be cast in this production must attend the workshop and we will only be casting girls from the workshop for the orphans. Space will be limited as to how many girls will be allowed to sign up so please sign your child up early to guarantee her a spot. (We will have a sign-up sheet at the auditions, also.)
