Created in 1963, HAL held its first art show in the Hotel Seville. The group holds two art shows per year as well as special shows, educational programs, and visiting artist programs. Members display their work at local Banks as well. Open to all area artists and art lovers, membership is $25 a year. HAL now has a permanent home in the Oak Leaf Gallery, located at 117 West Rush next to the Lyric Theater.

Harrison Art League membership is $25 per year. Benefits include discount on entry fees for shows; displays in members-only exhibits and local businesses; recognition on screen before Ozark Arts Council events; free online gallery of artwork on HAL's website; and discounts at local merchants.

2nd Annual Local Student Art Exhibit

The Harrison Art League will host the 2nd Annual Local Student Art Exhibit from April 1, through April 15th, at the Oak Leaf Gallery next to the Lyric Theater on the Harrison Square. Art teachers from several area schools will be exhibiting some of their students art works in various mediums.

HAL will also host a reception for the teachers and students on Friday, April 1st from 5 PM to 7 PM, which is free and open to the public. Be sure to come by and visit our young and upcoming artists on Friday evening.
