Community Artist Spotlight:
Tim Ernst: Arkansas Photographer

The Ozark Arts Council is proud to present a Community Artist Spotlight with Tim Ernst, world-renowned Arkansas photographer.

In this year’s program, Ernst will discuss wildlife in the Natural State and share slides of some of the photographs that appear in his newest picture book, Arkansas Wildlife, the tenth he has published. His books, calendars and other publications will be on sale at special discount prices before and after the show.

"I think this is my best program ever,” said Ernst. “Animals always steal the show!"

Ernst’s passion for natural Arkansas landscape is conveyed through his photographs. His skill in capturing breathtaking scenes has been recognized across the United States. Some of his photographs have appeared in National Geographic, Audubon, Outside, Outdoor Photographer, Backpacker, and The New York Times. His work can be found in major collections and businesses all over the region including the Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and right here in Harrison in the new wing of the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

Ernst has been sharing his talent for more than twenty years teaching photography workshops and fine art printmaking. He also shares some of his personal experiences and photographs in the Cloudland Cabin Journal.
