The Ozark Arts Council welcomes Cody Slaughter performing as young Elvis in the historic Lyric Theater.

Cody has a reputation for his "early Elvis" tribute that has won him respect as a performer, a loyal audience, and a dedicated fan club. Cody is only seventeen years old but has the ability to capture the electrifying experience of Elvis onstage.

Cody has been performing his tribute for almost five years and has won national recognition. He was a finalist in the Worldwide Images of the King Championship in Memphis, TN in 2006 and 2007. He won the People's Choice Award in that same contest. In August 2008, Cody won Elvis Explosion in Branson, MO, which again placed him in the finals of the Worldwide Images of the King Championship. Just a year ago, Cody performed at a Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party for MTV.

Locally, Cody has performed in Branson, MO, at the Music City Center with Tony Roi and the Caravelle Theater with the Liverpool Legends. He regularly performs at regional fairs, parties, reunions, festivals, and fundraisers. More information about Cody Slaughter is available online at www.codyslaughterrocks.com or by calling 870.365.0329.

The show is expected to sell out as usual, but advance tickets are available right now by calling the OAC office at 870.391.3504 or by purchasing tickets online. Tickets are $12.50 for adults, $10 for members and students (with a valid ID), and $5 for children under 12.
